Lucciano Campassi

Lily Edinam Botsyoe

Dr. Lily Edinam Botsyoe is an international trust and safety researcher and policy strategist working at the intersection of privacy, behavioral design, and AI governance. As artificial intelligence changes how platforms collect, interpret, and act on user data, her work gives organizations research-backed frameworks for keeping that data use accountable to end users, not just to regulators.
Her doctoral research, completed at the University of Cincinnati's Civic Tech Lab, examines privacy nudging mechanisms and empirical policy evaluation. Using systematic literature reviews and empirical evaluation methods, her work identifies which privacy architectures substantively protect users and which merely satisfy a disclosure requirement. She serves on the Advisory Council of the American Registry for Internet Numbers and has worked in Security Tooling and Security Risk Management at Salesforce.
She is also a former Adjunct Instructor at the University of Cincinnati and a faculty member for the Trust & Safety Africa Academy.
