Before establishing his firm, Monteverde worked as a partner and chair of the Mergers and Acquisition Litigation Department at Faruqi & Faruqi LLP from 2010 to 2016. The firm, known for its class action litigation in investor and consumer protection, helped shape its legal approach. He also worked as an associate at Levi & Korsinsky, representing clients in securities fraud, consumer fraud, and other complex legal matters. Monteverde began his legal career at Smith Mazure Director Wilkins Young & Yagerman, focusing on civil litigation, including construction law, civil rights, and product liability.

Monteverde earned his Juris Doctor with distinction from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2005. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from California State University, Northridge. In addition to his legal practice, he is a prolific writer and frequent speaker on executive compensation issues, presenting at events hosted by the American Bar Association and other legal organizations.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Juan is passionate about philanthropy, supporting causes such as Planned Parenthood, the ASPCA, and food pantries in New York City. He is admitted to practice law in New York and several federal districts, where he has secured substantial settlements for shareholders.
