It is safe to say that I have an odd mix of experiences. After graduating from Penn State University, I worked for the federal government for a decade in various analyst roles doing things as mundane as personnel budgeting and as exciting as presenting to the Director of the FBI and testifying as an expert to grand juries.

After leaving civil service, my next decade was spent attempting to perfect theme park vacations by working for TouringPlans.com. We used statistics and lots and lots of research to optimize peoples theme park trips and I assisted in many ways from research tasks and writing to starting a travel agency to filming YouTube videos that have over 1 million views.

Now I am a consultant at Centric Consulting, helping companies rethink their data strategies. I am thrilled to once again share my experiences by speaking about data strategy, project management, consulting, statistics, theme parks and, frankly, anything else.

Paul has worked in a variety of fields, including software, digital, cyber-physical hardware systems, systems integration and now the most complicated system of all.... people and teams.
The story of Agility is about people and how we try to bring new thinking models today into incremental changes over transformations. Paul uses an invitational coaching approach that meets people where they are and adapts through context-sensitive frameworks, methods and tools. This allows us to find more obstacles and work relentlessly with people who are improving while respecting people and culture, which is the foundation of a digitization journey. I’m Jas from Melbourne. I currently work at Culture Amp as an Engineer Manager leading a passionate platform team that liaises with every product team in the company, primarily focussed on showcasing the Culture Amp products in the best possible light 💡

After finishing my Masters in Software Engineering at Melb Uni, I kickstarted my career as a mobile engineer. After working on some leading mobile apps in Australia for 5 years, I decided to learn how to build things the right way, which led me into the Test Automation world.

This helped me learn and work with some great teams and people building really good software with an eye for quality.

My journey naturally led me to my current role as an Engineering Manager after being a Quality Coach and a Staff Automation Engineer.

I also have an affinity to share my experience with the wider community. I’ve spoken in a variety of conferences across the globe. Testbash Liverpool, DDD Melbourne, Saucelabs’ SauceCon are some of them.

Latest obsession… unified observability at scale! (while also managing cost 😅)
