I had a curious start at the university in my first year of Medicine. I changed majors and ended up studying Industrial Engineering at the UPC in Barcelona.

When I finished I started directly in the world of ERP (Ax2009, AX2012...) but having the luck of being able to combine ERP tasks with tasks from other areas such as BI and systems.

Right now I run the technical department of the company where I work and I have the great opportunity to teach and help my colleagues grow in the same way that they did with me at the time. It is a very beautiful feeling that accompanies me every day and that I see rewarded every time they see that they have taken a "little step" alone.

I'm CTO @Sintraconsulting and I worked as Senior Developer, Team Leader and architect in a very large set of enterprise projects. I had a master's degree in Robotic science and another master's degree in project management. My experience in technology extends on many technologies (java, PHP, .net) and platforms (Sharepoint, Liferay, Pimcore) other than techniques (Agile, DevOps, ALM). I’m also interested in Agile techniques, project management, and product development.

**The opensource experience**
My second life is about opensource. I started in 2006 with an IDE for CSS, and I founded a group of opensource developers called "arduosoft", because make opensource software in the spare time was arduous.
During the last 13 years, I created many opensource projects, most of them failed. This is a very big experience and teaches me how to start an opensource project and avoid it will fail. Nowadays you can find on my personal GitHub account (https://github.com/zeppaman/) or into the Arduosoft organization account (https://github.com/arduosoft).

**My experience as speaker**
I'm writing about cloud transformation on most important Medium publications (The Startup, Better programming, Towards Data Science) and my profile is https://medium.com/@daniele.fontani

I write on the Codeproject community for 13 years and I’m now a member of the author’s group ( https://www.codeproject.com/Members/sir-zeppaman).
I’m one administrator of the meetup group TechItalia Tuscany that has the goal to link professionals and creates a network through technical meetings https://www.meetup.com/it-IT/TechItaliaTuscany/

I speak publically once a month. I have spoken physically or virtually in many countries (Uk, Jamaica, Italy, Belarus) about DevOps, opensource, and cloud transformation.

Gant Laborde

Gant Laborde

Gant Laborde is a New Orleans native, born and raised. He grew up with hurricanes (not the drink), rich New Orleans culture, and as a free tour guide for all his out-of-state friends. Over the years he’s seen his city experience corruption, flooding, heartbreak, and most importantly, revived-determination. “New Orleans doesn’t know how to quit,” Gant says, “that’s why I love it.” Gant firmly believes conflict abets passion, a fire always moves fastest uphill.

As CIO for the popular company Infinite Red, Gant works remotely from his home and uses his self-managed autonomy to explore a variety of leadership arts. Besides managing the all-remote team from around the world, Gant has become a published author, adjunct professor, volunteer mentor, and a speaker at conferences worldwide.

Each day, Gant refines what motivation and leadership mean as he strives to bridge the gap the theory and the concrete. He voraciously consumes self-help books and online lectures, which he incorporates into his everyday processes. Focus on personal enthusiasm and motivation to lead projects, workshops, and teams are the bedrock of success. He refines these skills as often as possible at his local Toastmasters clubs, where he serves as Division Director.

"I have no idea what to do! — but working definitely wasn’t part of the plan." That was me at 16, just after finishing secondary school. But what now? First, get my high school diploma, and then figure it out later. Decision postponed. Something with computers would be cool, though. As a passionate gamer, I’ve always been fascinated by the magic behind the screen — the same magic that transported me night after night into fantastic, captivating worlds.

Alright then, let’s go with computer science. But working after high school? No, thanks. Might as well dive into computer science at university. I already knew Mannheim, so I quickly completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Now, I felt ready, hungry, and excited to build awesome software that makes people’s lives a little easier. Maybe even put a smile on a few faces here and there.

At my first job as a developer (synyx hadn’t hired me back then), I didn’t just gain tons of coding experience—I also learned a lot about agility and Scrum. A Scrum Master and Product Owner rolled into one (terrible idea!) was let go after repeated clashes with the rest of the team. The roles were split, and one of the senior devs became the Scrum Master.

This was the first time I experienced the magic of agility and how everything just clicked—how it all felt intuitively “right.” Once you experience that, you know it works, no matter what others say. From that moment, I was hooked. It became crystal clear that I never wanted to work any other way. Around the same time, DevOps was emerging as a cultural movement, shaking up structures in many companies. Agility and vertical working changed everything. The work was challenging but fun.

At another job, there was no one in the Scrum Master role, and all sorts of issues were constantly hindering the team from working effectively. This was my chance to step up and take responsibility for something bigger than myself. I wanted to fill that gap and ensure that, at the very least, the others could work peacefully and as agile as possible. So, I found myself in a dual role as both Scrum Master and Developer. By then, my heart was already fully invested in both.

As I later began working with larger companies and corporations, I was often shocked at how they made simple things so difficult. It was the complete opposite of agile. Company politics and power struggles between departments and countless layers of hierarchy paralyzed even the most enthusiastic and motivated developers. A corporate culture straight out of the Stone Age—classic German Mittelstand—cast a gray fog over development departments. Potential evaporated. Money was burned. For the first time, I realized just how enormous a competitive advantage agility really is.

I learned early on that there are people who like to put obstacles in your path. But just as early, as a kid from humble beginnings, I learned to stand up for myself, to fight for my dreams. In my role as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach, this has become my strength. I use it to make the world a better place by enabling others to bring out the best in themselves, on every level. That’s what motivates and drives me.

I finally joined synyx in the fall of 2023. My first impression didn’t deceive me, and it didn’t take long before I felt that “finally, normal people” vibe. No unnecessary hierarchies. No paralyzing bureaucracy. Just a team with a beating heart for great software. Nerds, like you and me. I think I’ve found my place. I think I’m home.
