Organizations do not change by decree; they change when people, processes, data, and technologies start to communicate with one another.

This is where I come in, working on the integration of people, processes, data, and technologies: the lever through which I accelerate organizational evolution, strengthen execution capabilities, and generate sustainable value over time.

I design and lead cross-functional change and transformation initiatives, operating across governance, innovation, data strategy, operating model design, and the adoption of digital solutions.

My primary objective is to ensure that strategy does not remain on paper, by fostering a culture oriented toward continuous improvement, collaboration, and collective intelligence.

He is a proponent of Intelligent Business Agility and the author of the book of the same name. He actively participates in international conferences and events, both as a speaker and as a co-organizer.

My goal is to help people develop media literacy in an environment where culture is accelerating faster than most people can interpret.

My work focuses on the systems underneath contemporary digital life: how memes encode cultural behavior, how algorithms reorganize attention, how advertising collapses spatial boundaries, and how the underlying protocols of media shape what we believe, share, and understand.

I’m a digital culture analyst and media theorist and I’ve spent my life moving through every major shift in digital culture. I began on a Commodore Vic20 writing BASIC programs on loose-leaf paper. I discovered the early web through Netscape in art school, studying Intermedia when digital experimentation was still a fringe idea. I worked through the rise of social platforms, the marketing era of Web2, the speculative creativity of Web3 and I’ve now arrived in the AI era as an educator and media theorist trying to explain what all of this means.

My work explains the systems behind contemporary digital life: meme dynamics, protocol aesthetics, algorithmic influence and the collapse of traditional media logic. Rather than focusing on tools, I work to uncover the deeper structures that shape how people think, communicate and create.

I believe in what I’m talking about because I’ve been there to see it form:

A student in Web1.
A practitioner in Web2.
An educator in Web3.
A theorist in the AI era.

Everything I publish - talks, videos, essays, posts and digital projects is an attempt to make digital culture legible.

In the beginning... There was teaching English.

But I began writing professionally for the countercultural Spanish tech magazine @rroba in the 90s, and then went on to be the editor/layout monkey/translator/jack-of-all-trades of the Spanish edition of "Linux Magazine – Chronicle of the Revolution".

When that closed, I also quit teaching completely and became editor-in-chief of Linux Magazine — the German one this time, but again in Spanish. I founded a publishing house with German partners in 2004. We published several tech magazines for a decade, covering free software, Linux, open hardware, and mobile technologies. I wrote scathing editorials criticising big tech, public administrations, proprietary vendors, opportunistic politicians, and everything in between. I did layout, marketed the mag to readers and advertisers, unloaded trucks full with pallets of copies, built an online subscription portal, and learned everything about the publishing business I could, just in case it would come in handy.

When the magazine market went belly up in the late 2000s and early 2010s, we held on until 2014 and then called it quits, and I recycled myself into a "communications expert" because, why not?

I started working as a marketing consultant for KDE e.V. in 2017. I work with the members of the Promo team, setting goals, managing campaigns and analysing results. I also help KDE projects optimise their communication strategies, and I copywrite and proofread their websites and blog posts.

I also run most of KDE's fundraising efforts, and consult for GNOME on the stuff I have become experienced with.

Am I expert? I guess so. I think I can answer a lot of questions of what's going on in the open source market, and can figure out what will work in a campaign, and see opportunities where they are not obvious. Either way, I'll let you be the judge of that.

I am an expert in brand psychology and the founder of NOBUS - an exclusive agency specializing in brand psychology and perception.

I studied business psychology, with a focus on advertising psychology and market behavior.
Afterward, I spent ten years in international marketing - in Austria, the Netherlands, South Africa, and most recently in Boston, USA. I’ve led teams of over 25 people, managed annual advertising budgets exceeding $40 million, and worked with over 60 brands. Internal training sessions, client workshops, and presentations - sharing knowledge during that time wasn’t a byproduct, but an integral part of the job.

At some point, I became more interested in the level beneath the execution than in the execution itself: Why do people choose one company over another - usually before they even compare them? NOBUS was born out of this question.

Today, next to running my own business, I teach as a lecturer at the Digital World Academy in Vienna and give talks, workshops, and seminars.
My talks aren’t lectures: I start with a decision that the audience makes themselves - and let the room realize that the answer had nothing to do with personal preference.

When I’m not thinking about perception, I’m on a mountain (alpine climbing), underwater (scuba diving), or in free fall (skydiving).
