I'm that person who gets genuinely excited about a well-designed Lakehouse at 9am on a Monday, and yes, I've made peace with that.

My technical home is Microsoft Fabric, end-to-end data solutions, Medallion architecture, data engineering with PySpark and Python, semantic modeling with TMDL, real-time intelligence, and governance. Power BI lives inside Fabric, and that's exactly how I treat it. Currently riding the Agentic Era wave with MCP and AI agents, because who can resist a good technical challenge?

Community is where I come alive. I co-organize Women in Fabric, because women belong on every stage, every whiteboard, and every data team, and the Fabric User Group ESP. I also co-created calendarioeventosdatos.com, a free community map of data events. I speak internationally and write at monicamesa.es.

My superpower? Making even the most technical model feel approachable, useful, and fun.

Olivier Van Steenlandt is a Business Intelligence Professional who spent most of his early career assisting retail companies to get more value of their data using the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).

As his first experience in the field (in Business Intelligence), Olivier worked as a Big Data Analyst using tools such as Hadoop and Spark.

Stephen is an avid motorcyclist who has done evangelism tours in Europe, Japan, and Brazil, interviewing developers in their natural habitat. When he is not traveling, he enjoys teaching kids how to do AI, embedded, and robot programming together with his daughters.
