Adriana Kugler is an American economist and a Full Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy and Economics at Georgetown University. During her more than 15 years at the university, she has served in several leadership roles, including Vice Provost for Faculty from 2013 to 2016. In that position, she worked to improve the Promotion and Tenure process, expanded faculty development through an NSF grant supporting women in STEM, redesigned new faculty orientation, and helped establish a new framework for non-tenure-track faculty.

Dr. Kugler served as Governor of the Federal Reserve Board from September 2023 to August 2025 after being nominated by President Biden and confirmed by the Senate. During that time, she participated in several Board committees, served as a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, and represented the Board at the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies. She also delivered speeches on inflation, monetary policy, employment, expectations, and housing while visiting 10 of the 12 Federal Reserve districts and meeting with communities across the country.

From 2022 to 2023, Dr. Kugler served as the U.S. Executive Director of the World Bank. In that role, she supported efforts to strengthen multilateral development institutions with a focus on climate change, pandemics, conflict, food security, education recovery, and opportunities for women and underrepresented groups. Her contributions were recognized with the Chase Award from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Kugler co-founded and served as Co-Director of the International Summer Institute on Policy Evaluation from 2010 to 2013. She also served as Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of Labor from 2011 to 2013. I'm Robert Azeem Jackson III, an Afrofuturist cultural strategist and data scientist, and founder of Cypher, a data sovereignty studio. I help founders and community entrepreneurs, and the municipal leaders who back them, build portable memory systems: systems that travel from one city to the next and stay owned by the people who built them. My clients learn to own the data their communities already hold, govern it on their own terms, and turn it into funding, infrastructure, and wealth that no platform can hold hostage. They walk in sitting on a story they can't prove and an asset that keeps getting overlooked in the rooms where money moves. They walk out owning it. In Moorestown, one elder's story became more than $350,000 in municipal and state funding for a neighborhood park. Since 2021, Cypher has helped partners raise over $1.5M and save more than $400K on compliance. The pain I help them avoid is the quiet one, watching their memory get extracted, digitized, and sold by someone else while they inherit nothing. The goal is sovereignty: a community that owns its story, carries it wherever it goes, and gets paid to keep it.

Philip Obiorah is a Data Scientist, Co-Organizer PyData Milton Keynes , Lead of GDG Cloud Port Harcourt, a Google Explore ML Facilitator, and a researcher with interests in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. He is a former Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, and currently serves as a Learning Development Coach in Computing at the University of Buckingham. An Oracle Certified Professional and a member of the British Computer Society, Philip has a diverse academic and professional background.

Philip holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Port Harcourt. In addition, he has earned two Master's degrees: an MSc in Applied Data Science from the University of Buckingham, graduating with distinction, and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Port Harcourt. He also holds a BA in Philosophy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria.

Philip is deeply committed to community development and has volunteered extensively to mentor participants in AI and data science programs through initiatives like AI School Africa, the Google Africa Developers Scholarship, and Google Explore ML with Crowdsource. His academic contributions include several research publications, notably "Topic Modeling Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation & Multinomial Logistic Regression," published in the Journal of Digital Innovations & Contemporary Research in Science, Engineering & Technology (Vol. 10, No. 4).
