She teaches in UVM’s Environmental Science Program/Rubenstein School of Environment and is a Fellow at the Gund Institute for Environment. Her research focuses on land-cover and land-use change in the tropics and its impacts, particularly on greenhouse gas emissions and the water cycle. Jehnae Jasmine Linkins is a lifetime resident of Indian Head, MD. She is a graduate of the first Historically Black College/University (HBCU), The Lincoln University; with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park.

An active volunteer in her school and community for many years, Jehnae believes of the importance of giving back and making a difference in the world around her. Dr. Scott Hawley is a computational physicist who, after several years as a postdoctoral researcher in the High Performance Computing community modeling black hole collisions, came to Nashville in 2006 to teach and play music on the side.
