Andrea Provaglio

Andrea Provaglio

I work with leaders, executives, managers and teams in organizations that want to thrive in the complex domains of the 21st century and I help them rethink their organizational dynamics, mindset, processes and practices to be more adaptive and effective in their business.

I’m especially interested in distributed leadership in knowledge-based organizations, a topic that touches on a number on subjects, including non-conventional organizational structures and individual and collective communication and social skills. And, I’m a long-standing Agile practitioner.

In over 20 years of professional experience, first in IT then in Agile in the broader sense, I worked with organizations in three different continents, as big the United Nations’ FAO and as small as dynamic post-startup companies. I have a wide range of expertise, in both the public and private sector, with both large and small organizations and with different cultures.

I'm based back in Italy but I've also worked for four years in the USA on a O-1 visa for "extraordinary abilities in Sciences”.

As part of my regular activities, I enjoy sharing what I know by speaking at major international conferences.

Chris Carter

Chris Carter

The Billion-Dollar Ghost: How Chris Carter Built an AI Fortress from a Staff of One

Three days after surgeons threaded carbon fiber and titanium discs into his spine—a literal hardware upgrade for a man who refuses to crash—Chris Carter was at 35,000 feet. He wasn't chasing a vacation; he was chasing a vision. While the rest of the world’s elite were still debating the "dangers" of AI over chilled Meursault, Carter was landing in Dubai to finalize the evolution of MUGATI AI: the first billion-dollar "unicorn" built entirely on the back of AI-based tools.
To understand the $1B valuation, you have to understand the man. Carter is a "heart-on-his-sleeve" operator, a 24-hour-a-day whirlwind who views his clients not as data points, but as a temporary family he is sworn to protect. It’s a trait forged in a childhood that reads like a Dickensian fever dream. At age six, while other children were learning to tie their shoes, Chris and his brother Willie were learning the geography of eleven different couches. A year of "couch hopping" due to his mother’s struggles didn't break him; it gave him a preternatural sense of where the floor is soft and where the walls are thin.
Today, that instinct has been digitized.
The SAP Whisperer and the 93.7% Gambit
In the glass-and-steel boardrooms where the world’s wealth is tallied, there is a number that haunts every C-suite executive: 93.7. That is the percentage of global financial transactions that pulse through SAP environments. It is a staggering, terrifying concentration of value. For thirty-five years, Chris Carter has been the man watching the wires.
"I know the struggles of making sure SAP is secure," Carter says, his voice carrying the calm weight of someone who has seen the "unhackable" crumble. While others saw SAP as a mere database, Carter saw it as a fortress that needed a smarter gatekeeper.
MUGATI AI provides specialized services designed to modernize these corporate operations by integrating Small Language Models (SLMs) and artificial intelligence directly into existing SAP environments. The goal isn't just automation; it’s ERP optimization to increase organizational productivity and data accuracy. But the "teeth"—the reason why investors are foaming at the mouth and the valuation has hit the stratosphere—is a security tool known as Cloak Works.
The Digital Conscience
In the milliseconds it takes for a distracted executive to hit "Send" on a sensitive banking document or upload a client list to a vulnerable portal, Cloak Works intercedes. It doesn't just block; it talks. It asks the user, on any device, anywhere: "Do you truly want to send your personal banking history via an unencrypted email? Do you truly need to risk this on a website that doesn't meet your organization's score?"
It is a security tool for the human element. It recognizes that in a world of hacks and breaches, the greatest vulnerability is a moment of human fatigue. By providing a "security score" in real-time, Carter has effectively turned every employee into a high-level security expert. He has taken the "courtesy and generosity" that saved him as a child and baked it into a software architecture that ensures his customers are never left without a roof over their data.
The Sovereign of Stealth
In the quiet, flickering light of a screen—running a hyper-tuned instance of Gemini and Google Chrome—Carter did something the venture capital world said was impossible. He built a billion-dollar company without a single employee. He didn't want a "team"; he wanted a "Machine."
For a decade, Carter lived in "Stealth Mode," architecting and refining his mindset before ever coming out into the light. He integrated tools such as NotebookLM and Antigravity into a unified, sentient workflow, proving that a "Sovereign Entrepreneur" can outproduce a legacy corporation.
When he finally integrated Cloak Works into live AI environments for customer testing, the result was a total paradigm shift. Executives and VCs began to circle, stunned to find that the "organization" they were courting was actually just one man with a superior set of AI-based tools. The valuation hit $1B without Carter taking a single penny of outside capital.
The New Corporate Standard
Beyond technical infrastructure, Carter’s solutions aim to improve employee engagement by empowering staff with advanced digital tools rather than replacing them. The organization emphasizes responsible AI implementation, ensuring that businesses maintain visibility and ethical standards over their internal technology use.
With years of experience and a client portfolio, MUGATI AI now offers a comprehensive roadmap for digital transformation and safe experimentation. As the Cloak Works shield begins to roll out across the globe, monitoring every "outward breath" of corporate data, the message to the world is clear: The age of the bloated, inefficient corporation is over.
The age of the Sovereign Entrepreneur—protected by titanium, carbon fiber, and the most sophisticated AI shield ever forged—has begun.

Michael John Pena

Michael John Pena

MJ Peña is an engineer-turned-founder with 15+ years building data platforms, shipping products, and leading engineering teams across Fortune 500, ASX200, and government organisations.

He started writing C# and SQL Server as a developer, progressed through architect and CTO roles, and went on to found companies as his principal vehicle for delivering Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and AI engineering to enterprise and mid-market clients. He also holds board, non-executive, and investor positions across several technology startups and private ventures.

What hasn't changed across those 15+ years: he remains a hands-on problem-solver who can go from whiteboard architecture to writing production code — and who believes clean pipelines, observable systems, and teams that ship with confidence matter more than hype.

He is a dual Microsoft MVP (Azure & AI) for 11 consecutive years, a Microsoft Certified Trainer who has taught 1,000+ engineers globally across Fabric, Purview, and Azure OpenAI, and a published O'Reilly author currently completing DP-700: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Study Guide. He presents regularly at Microsoft Reactor and tech conferences across the region.

Not everything has gone to plan — bad crypto bets, toxic workplaces, wrong hires, lost accounts, failed products. He's learned more from those than from the wins, and he tries to pass those lessons on through mentorship, community, and writing.

He aspires to be better every day. And to make AI practical rather than theoretical.

I believe the next competitive edge isn’t AI itself, it’s the organisation around it. Feedback loops, governance, and continuous adaptation across people, process, and technology.

My Story
With over two decades in the technology sector, I focus on AI-augmented delivery, platform engineering, and enterprise evolution. As Group Chief AI Officer (CAIO) at Zühlke, I shape the global strategy and service portfolio for AI-Augmented Delivery & Platform, AI integration, platform engineering, and cloud solutions. My work redefines how organizations innovate, adapt, and scale in industries such as finance, insurance, cybersecurity, energy, healthcare, and aerospace.

In a world reshaped by Artificial Intelligence (AI), I believe the key to resilience and competitiveness lies in becoming AI-augmented, AI-enabled, and ultimately AI-native: a new operating model driven by feedback loops, intelligent workflows, and self-learning systems that place customer success at the center. I empower companies to continuously create value by harmonizing people, processes, technology, and AI.

I began my journey at Zühlke more than two decades ago, evolving from software engineer and architect to trusted consultant, and now to my leadership role as Chief AI Officer. My passion for value creation through automation and quality led me from engineering into the DevOps movement and further into the forefront of enterprise transformation.

I organize the monthly DevOps Meetup in Zürich and serve as president of DevOpsDays Zürich, an annual conference within the global DevOps movement. I share my insights via my YouTube channel, with over 500 videos, and through well over 30 blog articles focused on DevOps, architecture, leadership, and transformation.

My commitment to thought leadership and education extends to my role as a lecturer in DevOps leadership, agile methodologies, digital transformation, and enterprise architecture at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. I champion a culture of innovation and agility, helping enterprises evolve into adaptive systems capable of thriving in complex, fast-changing environments.

My work has been recognized through several awards and honors, reflecting my contributions to technology leadership and digital transformation.

Roberto Grifalconi

I have a software background: I’ve worked in several companies and co-founded a start-up. For over 10 years, I worked as a Product Owner, partnering closely with teams and stakeholders to turn complex needs into sustainable solutions—balancing technical constraints, user experience, and business goals.

Over time, my focus shifted from “what we build” to “how we work together”. Very often, the real bottleneck isn’t strategy, but conversations, priorities, dependencies, and decision quality. Today I support individuals, teams, and organisations as an ICF coach, facilitator, and trainer. My approach is practical and non-judgemental: I help make visible what often remains implicit (flows, friction, decisions, responsibilities) and turn it into achievable, sustainable steps.

My work typically falls into three areas:

* Conversations that make a difference**: feedback and difficult conversations, with a focus on emotional intelligence at work, to improve collaboration, psychological safety, and shared accountability.
* People, behaviours, and organisational risk**: noticing weak signals in the organisation and exploring how leadership, delegation, and transparency affect prevention, reputation, and retention.
* Organisations that can navigate complexity**: building continuity between decisions and action, clarifying priorities, and making work flows clearer and more sustainable—using continuous improvement and transparency to look ahead and learn from experience.

When it helps, I also run facilitated workshops (e.g., LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® and Event Storming) to build shared understanding and turn it into concrete choices. My goal is to help people and organisations pursue ambitious outcomes without jargon—through clarity, respect for company culture, and a sustainable pace of improvement.
